Bio
Daoping Wang is an Associate Professor at the School of Finance, Nankai University, with a Ph.D. in Economics. He serves as the Secretary of the First Finance Faculty Branch of the School of Finance at Nankai University. His main research areas include: Financial Big Data Analysis, AI and Large Language Models in Finance, Technology Finance and Digital Finance; International Finance, Financial Risk and Regulation, Sustainable Finance; Behavioral Finance, Financial Engineering, Investment, and Asset Pricing.
He has led and participated in more than 20 major national projects, including National Natural Science Foundation Major Projects, National Social Science Foundation Major Projects, Ministry of Education Major Projects, National Social Science Foundation Projects, and National Natural Science Foundation Projects. He has edited 2 textbooks, authored 1 book, and translated 1 book (Nobel Prize in Economics Winner Series). As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 40 papers in authoritative economics, finance, and management journals such as Economic Research Journal, Management World, The Journal of World Economy, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Management Sciences in China, and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal.
He serves as an anonymous reviewer for authoritative domestic and international economics and management journals including Economic Research Journal, China Economic Quarterly, The Journal of World Economy, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Finance & Trade Economics, International Finance Research, Economic Perspectives, Systems Engineering - Theory & Practice, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance Research Letters, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, and Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization.
He has received awards including Nankai University Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, 10th National Outstanding Financial Paper Award, Tianjin Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, International Finance Top 10 Outstanding Paper, CNKI Highly Cited Scholar TOP 1%, and CNKI High Impact Scholar. He is the main lecturer for the National First-Class Undergraduate Course “International Finance” (both offline and online versions), and Associate Editor of “International Finance” (11th Five-Year National Planning Textbook, Tianjin Ideological and Political Textbook).
